THE FELLOWSHIP

If you are selected as a Kindred Fellow, your fellowship will include:


  • A $750 Award  received upon completion of the fellowship
  • A virtual 7-week social justice education experience guided by Kindred’s thought-leaders
  • Access to Kindred’s network of mentors
  • Opportunity to participate in future Kindred Fellow Alumni Retreats and Trips
  • Lifetime membership with the Kindred World Network that includes alumni, mentors, and supporters

YOUR COMMITMENT

If you accept the Fellowship, you will be agreeing to the following:


  • Active participation in the entire virtual 7-week Kindred Fellowship Program
  • Completion of a Final Project to Present at our Kindred Fellowship Showcase at the end of the Program
  • Paying it Forward and considering serving as a mentor to future fellows, being on our board, promoting and or supporting the KFP in the future.

ELIGIBILITY

To apply for the Fellowship, you must meet the following criteria:


  • You must be an undergraduate student currently enrolled in a college or university and enrolled through Summer 2022
  • You must be able and willing to complete the entire virtual KFP 7-week program with a commitment of approximately 4-6 hours per week of engagement.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who come from diverse personal, professional, and cultural backgrounds and experiences including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, education level, culture, religion, venture-focus, disability, physical appearance, or other differences.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The selection committee considers various criteria including:


  • The depth of your interest in the fellowship and your background
  • How the fellowship supports your future goals
  • Your passion and vision around activism and social justice
  • Your experience in social identity, intergroup dialogue, and conflict resolution
  • Your interest in the work of Kindred World
  • Your capacity to participate in the full fellowship
